No excuse for the mondao driver.
But, OK I haven't ridden a push bike since the 70s. But this guys positioning in the road especially in areas of solid white line seems deliberate to try to stop overtaking cars/trucks. Yes I know it is legal to cross to overtake a push bike but you shouldn't need to if he would ride to the left side of the road. So maybe his riding style had caused the driver to loose it. But like I say no excuse for forcing him off or the way he slammed in front. I was glad to see he actually looked over his shoulder before attempting lane changes.

The push bike shouldn't be forced to ride on the left side of the road. It's all about taking charge of your lane to stop people doing stupid overtakes or forcing you too close to the edge.... much like riding a motorbike?

I agree he shouldn't be forced over. But a pushbike shouldn't be an obstacle to others though their poor lane position. He wasn't taking charge of his lane as much as blocking it to other road users.
If we are to argue our case for filtering. It is because we are narrow and do not take up much road space and can safely ride in a narrow space. If we behave like car drivers and follow the herd one behind the other we have lost our advantage of size.

I personally didn't once think that his positioning was particularly poor.

To be fair he doesn't exactly follow the highway code on some of his other videos. He's quite happy to bump up onto footpaths and ignore 'no entry' roadsigns.
