Default Do I need to buy a new starter relay?

02 sv650 starter relay problem. Would anyone care to check/correct my thinking before I hit buy it now?

Press starter, loud click.

Jump the battery positive to the positive pin on the starter motor, and the bike fires.

Jump the relay's starter motor and battery terminals, bike fires.

So I figure the push button, earth and positive connections are all good. The fuses test good, so my thinking is, new relay. Can anyone point me at any other checks I may be missing. I have searched,ta, is how I got this far, be grateful for any pointers.

Put voltmeter on battery negative and fat solenoid connection on right, (the one that goes to the starter motor). Turn on ignition, press starter button, 12V on meter says solenoid is OK.
Try again at connector stud on starter, 12V says starter or connector is duff.

Many thanks for the help. I fail the first test, so I think I am in the market for a new unit, good to know I have found the/a fault there, cheers.
