Default Replacement rear disc?

So my bike passed its mot and has an advisory on the rear disc so will be looking to replace in the near future and would like sugestions as to what to replace it with and price. I like the look of the wavy discs.

You don't need anything fancy on the rear as it doesn't get used too much. If you've got the cash to splash though...
I'll need to replace mine soon but will probably just go with a british made one from ebay.

Wavy discs? You want a nice cheap replacement disc for a brake you rarely use, not a metal doily.

Your friendly neighbourhood breaker will have something within the wear limit for a fraction of the price of a new one.

I never **** about with the front brakes, but the rear is practically a cosmetic accessory.

Was the advisory on thickness or what? If the former, invest a tenner in a micrometer and check it once in a while. It's not like it's a tricky part to replace and an advisory now could still be an advisory (or less) in twelve months' time.

Obviously if it's something other than thickness (warped or whatever) then you'll want to sort it out, but I'd still be inclined to do it on the cheap.

Rear disc slightly worn is the official advisory and the guy said when he felt it, it was going in and out in thickness or thats what I interpreted it as he was saying didnt say anything about warped

Can you feel any problem with it? Does it still work reasonably well? Can you feel the pedal pulsing in any way during use? If not then save your cash as already noted.

I had a "rear brake runout" advisory on my SV one year (crapspeak for warped) but a check with Spannerman assured me it was so slight it was fine. Was not even mentioned the following year!

It's advisory so you keep an eye on it. If it was a problem you'd get a fail.
