EBC Pro Lites. Much rougher grain than std. discs. My braking point was 30 yards later (on the GSXR600) than with std discs with the same pads.
Second on my list are Braking wavey discs but quite a bit heaver. C Last edited by Berlin; 27-03-12 at 08:11 PM. |

pads are a whole different topic.
![]() I ran EBC race on the Pro-lite discs and OEM and the braking difference was the same. 30-35 meters shorter with the Pro-lites. I then changed to DP race pads (very good pads but not available for the SV) and got the same results. I also tried Ferrodo and PF pads and for me, in Minitwins, the Pro Lite discs and Ferrodo CP211 race pads would be as good as it gets. However, the Ferrodo CP's only work properly from lap 2 on over unless you trail the brake the whole way round the warm up lap to get them Hot Hot Hot. at about 21 stones in my leathers I was able to outbrake featherweights with the CP211's. Thats a lot of stopping power. However, you have to get your seating right because on a pointy with the seat raised the bike wanted to flip and the rear would rise, so i couldn't use anywhere near the full braking. On the curvy with a std seat the bike could be braked so much harder as it didn't want to raise the rear. C |

Personally if i had the choice i'd throw the ebc discs away and use the boxes they came in, least they'd last longer!
As above OEM or another option is Brembo series oro discs from Bike torque |
