Hi all
Looking for a base jetting kit for the following:- 2000 SV650 with the following fitted:- Pointy inlet cam / Curvy inlet cam in Exhaust Standard downpipes but race can ( ART Oval Carbon) K&N Filter. Had it on the Dyno witout the cams and it's running lean throughout the range, I would like to try and get the jetting much closer with the cams fitted as the dyno isn't free again until mid may. Any pointers from someone who has a carby, with the cams / filter and pipe would be great Thanks Jim |

I did the cams, devil system on my bike (2001) and had it dynoed on base settings for carbs (not sure what but i THINK they are stock) and it ran at 79.1 rear wheel hp.
I then put my K&N filter in and the bike barely ran. So i took it out again and left it as it was. |

K&N would take it over the top into really lean teretory, get it jetted with the K&N in and you will see an improved performance. Jim |

Just saying i haven't opened the carb yet. its something i might do once ive sorted my suspension out. That is how it ran on dyno with pipe, and cams, i decided to leave it at that for now as its not a race bike and it was the most powerful SV they had had on their dyno so far (out of around 8 i think)

86 HP? I dont think so. Looks like a VERY optimistic dyno machine. Ah, is that showing at the crank?
