I am 6' 4" and would like to purchase some bike trousers. I am undecided on leather or textiles. I would also like recommendations on some all year round boots. I am looking to spend around £300 on the pair. I have an inside leg that is 33". do any manufacturers cater for the taller gent better than others
sorry for the ramble just want to buy right and buy once |

All round boots TCX competizone gortex or TCX infinity gortex are vey good
Also Alpinestars SMX R Gortex are another good boot. Textiles for all year round riding, leathers for better protection, but not good in the cold or wet weather. Depends on what kind of riding you're doing, commuting or just pleasure?

I'd go and find a good shop to try on boots for certain and also for textiles.
Where are you, apart from South England Go to your nearest Hein Gerike store for starters.

I bought a decent set of leather trousers from J&S (J&S brand) for about £120 recently, very pleased with the quality of them.

Alpinestars SMX R - not said to be waterproof, but never had wet feet.
Usual everyday riding gear is leather trousers and Textile jacket, Mostly dry and warm and feel properely protected in leather trou's.

Have a look in Yellow Pages or Local ad and see if there is a secondhand motorbike clobber dealer near you. We have one call second time around and his prices are reasonable for all his gear plus a big selection in all sizes------Bargains to be had
