Default Imported Bike Question.

I'm looking at http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1607837801...#ht_500wt_1287http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/1607837801...#ht_500wt_1287 and the seller has listed it as

Previously registered overseas: YES

I've asked if its imported and he's said NO, but i'm curious as to what the implications are if it is an import (mot due June 2013) and has the seller just entered YES in error?

any suggestions/advice would be appreciated.

thanks,
ness

Judging by the spelling in the description, I'd take a guess that the seller couldn't read what the options were and simply hit buttons randomly.

He also describes it as an Enduro/Supermoto!

I can't really make him out from his feedback, he either buys bits for several other people, or does a bit of dealing. One thing though, I see he had a set of brake pads for the Honda, which is interesting given it's only supposed to have done 5,000 miles. I'd say that's going some for a little 125....

Good detective work RH me thinks had he not withdrawn the listing and my sister had decided to buy it, it may not have been a wise decision - it just seemed a bit "off" from the comms i had with him. this bike buying malarky is hard work

We might be reading to much into the advert (no pun intended). English isn't always everybody's first language these days so just make sure you actually get eyes on the bike and it's paperwork to confirm it actually exists before parting with any cash.
