On the road again

Hi All,

I used to ride in NZ on a ZZR600 10 years ago and crashed on a rather nasty peice of mountain (fence saved me from a 300 foot drop!), moved to UK and they didn't transfer my bike liceince over (it was a learners).

I passed my Mod2 last Wednesday and got a 99 SV650 on Saturday! only been out on it for a few hours so far and loving the feeling of getting back on a bike.

I'd forgotten how great it feels.

Hope to be able to meet up with you peeps soon to go on some rides (nothing to fast at the moment) so I can start geeting back to speed so to speak .

Its a bit quiet in here at the mo, but that's mostly due to the carp weather.

Hi Zorba, where in Hunts are you? Im in Sawtry!!

I dont get much chance to ride at the moment due to job & kids but hopefully a rideout can be arranged soon. And dont worry about speed - im slow and getting slower by the day but I feel safe and in control and thats what matters to me.

Yeah really lucky, it did leave its mark as in a nice hole in my arm, broken leg and converted my bike into a track day machine!

Just out in Warboys, if you see a yellow 99 going anyaorund the area its probably me!

Safe and in control is what I'm trying to do as I'm finding it hard to stop twisting that wrist at the moment. Keep telling myself that I need to enjoy the exeperance more and not just the speed.

Wifes already got plans and unfortunatly it invloves a car! but with the nice weather this weekend I'm hope to have a few hours out & about.


I'm looking to join the local IAM or RSOPA groups in the near future does anyone ride with them or know what they are like?
