Looking for one for the 650 to get up them hills a bit quicker, like 0.001s quicker. But still, anyone bought one for theirs recently that they can recommend?
Also, if I just want it for the odd event thru the year can I look for a lower amp hours rating or just stick to the standard rating? I'm guessing the later seen as its all about starting currents, still worth an ask. Cheers, Mike. |

I tried out the racing battery in the zx6r although it was light and started well it didnt last long before it ran out of charge and wouldn't start up in the morning. ( About 3-4 days I think)
They are incredible small and weighed next to nothing, look at packing out the battery compartment. http://www.racingbatteries.co.uk/

yeah I think that was it.. I wasnt going out much. I fitted a battery guard which didnt stop the discharge either and gave up using a race battery. I'd get a full capacity model if I were to try again. There are other makes and racingbattere is have a chart / table of suitable batteries.

Shorai.
Weigh 1/10th of **** all yet have plenty of power. My missus bike has been using one for about a year and I've got one (LFX09) for my project SV build which is ridonkulously small as I'm not running any lights... ![]() If you aren't starting and running the bike very often it's good to get the proper charger, but it's only about £70 for charger and it's worth it just for peace of mind when you've got such a light battery. The shorai looks good and I have an intelligent charger which would charge it nicely.
Will take a look. Whats the full model number on yours? There seems to be a few LFX09s |

I went and checked it after I posted that, indeed it has a setting to charge almost every battery but these.
However the manufacturer claims that charging with a standard intelligent Lead-acid charger will suffice. So I'll see how much a specific one is anyway |
