Ello guys n girls, well just got me a 03 sv650 and holy shizz is it a great bike or what!!!! Im usually used to ridding choppers but i needed a change in pace n im sure as hell not regretting it. sold my intruder 750 yesterday morning then i was straight down to colchester to pick up my sv, one hell of a ride back. Soooo, anyone here near mundford? many sv ride outs going on in beast anglia?

Anyone know where i can get a free online haynes type manual for the bike? just wana know the correct tyre pressure for single riding n going 2 up, also what oil to use aswell as coolant liquids?

Any help would be greatly welcome.
heres some pics of the chop i sold n my new toy

Nowhere near you, but welcome. The few members of the EAR that do exist are spread rather thinly. And we haven't managed a decent rade out for ages. We're always glad to see new members though. Maybe we'll get together before Christmas?
As for your questions;
If you search this forum you'll be able to find the online stuff. Oil is any of the usual brands 10-40w, bike specific though. And tyre pressures depend on tyres and personal preference. I run Dunlop roadsmarts at 34 front 36 rear but you'll see what works for you with a little trial time on different pressures.Start at about 33 and go from there. A good excuse to do some miles!

Thing is with such a old intruder it was so hard to find the parts, the cooling system was always messing up..... plus it really didn't like leaning over to far due to the ground clearance.... or lack of it

i thought tyre pressures on almost all bikes wether it be track use one up or two up ,the recomend pressure was 36psi front and 42 rear and this was the industrie standard no matter what size or make of bike or tyre brand you are looking at,with only a very few exceptions

I don't think there's an industry standard pressure. I was told 33 psi when I had my last set fitted but they felt a little soft in the bends so I took them up to what they are now. So long as they aren't too high or low that handling and grip are seriously affected there must be room for preferences and condition (inc. pillion, style, road type, speeds etc)?
