I may have to sell my SV so I can move house.
It's a 2009 on a 58 plate, blue with the white stripe down the middle. 7800 miles, and totally standard except a scottoiler and some R&G bar ends. It has some scratches on the left hand lower fairing where it fell off the stand the day I bought it (didn't put it down properly, rookie mistake ![]() I'm the 2nd owner. Has MOT/tax. Thanks all. |

Look on BikeTrader/ebay (completed listings) to get an idea. I would think around £2,500 - £3k.

I's say around £3k private, it meets the "want" criteria 3 year old and under 10k miles as long as the damage doesn't stand out to much.
Cheers Mark

Well if it's a 09' plate and hardly any severe damage I think you should get around 3grand.
My partner had a accident with his 09 SV and his fairings came off so it's naked and there's a few scuffs on the back fairing and the front had to be replaced and they offered 3000 part ex. |

Does 10k miles really make a difference? I've a 06 with just over 9k on it. I paid £2.2k for it in March when it had 2.5k miles on it, but am likely to need to sell it in towards the end of September (and 4k miles). Depending on the loss between a July sale with sub 10k miles and a end of September sale with 13k miles, I may have to resort to the car to save the money - but would rather bike!.

yes it's not fair or logical, but buyer view a bike with either over 10k or needing an MOT as "old/worn" it's normally not, but it does hammer the price a fair bit, of course there are exceptions and everyone thinks their own is going to be it, but that's not the rule I find and I see 20 odd bikes a year on average being sold around that threshold.
Cheers Mark.

I've had no interest at £2900, any suggestions? Wrong time of year? Do people even buy bikes in September?
