I went out for a hoon yesterday and rolled into MoreMoto just as they were opening the box on my new exhaust.
The headers have a kind of brutalist functional look but the tailpipe is darn purty... ![]() Looking forward to getting it fitted and dynoed next Tuesday. And I get to change my sig! Mark |

Noise indeed...
I have a lovely new road legal M4 exhaust which is a major improvement on the original. It weighs about 4Kg less than the OEM system and has improved power output from 65.4BHP to 75.2BHP at the back wheel. Stunning result. Looks great and sounds gorgeous. Now for the problem. It may be road legal in the US but it certainly isn't here. It isn't marked 'NOT FOR ROAD USE' but I doubt it would pass any but the most lenient of MoT tests. I guess I'll be looking for a cheap legal end can come MoT time. I have become the kind of person who'll spoil it for every one! Mark |

Yep. I'm amazed too.
It is a full system though so that means there's no cat. The header from the rear cylinder looks like a real nest of vipers to get the length equal to the front pipe and also features a link pipe. It seems that this fools the bike into thinking it has twin exhaust instead of a 2-1. Whether this is true or not I couldn't say. It has to be said that there ain't much in the way to slow them gases down! This was also with some dyno time to dial in the Suzuki fuel injection. Dyno bloke reckoned he could get even more with a Power Commander and a high-flow air filter but that would work out at another £500 with fitting and more dyno time so I think I'll let that lie... Interesting
![]() So this extra BHP - all down to smoother/stronger delivery (i.e torque) as opposed to top end? How noticeable is it? |
