Sorry as I know this question has been asked a million times already but I don't have to the knowledge on how to figure it out myself, so if someone could give me the easy answer I'd appreciate it
![]() Question: How many mm of preload will I need for my k5 (i think) gsxr 1000 rear shock for my sk3 650s? I weigh about 70kg. -Tim |

there is no universal answer to this question. as each bike/rider/style is different.

As Bibio says, there's no exact answer to your question. You need to set the sag correctly for the shock to work for your weight. The amount of preload needed will be determined by ensuring your static sag and rider sag are correct.
The link above explains it very well IMO. Well played Lance! |

Just read your thread, Bibio, will definitely be using that to adjust my preload accordingly, thank you
