Default Help / advice wanted battery for BBC Wahoo

Hi guys - bit of a plea but more advice really - SV pointy blue HD05 plate battery shot and only seems to hold its charge for a few days and then conks out again. getting more vexed by the day by this - any idea which are good battery's for these bikes ?? and how much is a reasonable price to pay ?? - Russ at local garage quoted £45 fitted, although I'm sure I could fit it myself. any ideas ??

I've had it on the optimate LOADS recently and only two days ago she is still flat !!( whoever decided the lights MUST be on wants shooting too) said full charge and have done to de sulphate bit and kept it on over night and yes I don't ride it much and may sell anyway this year but still need a frigging battery that works

Yours VEXED BBC:m ad::m ad:

Verna

you have been around long enough to know how to get this problem resolved.

Just flash yer babs at some of that soho lot and I am sure they will do a full checkup on your charging system and maybe give you a free lube at the same time

Sounds like your battery has died. Probably due to the cold. I've just had 2 die on me even though both were on optimates. One still shows as fine while on charge but as soon as you turn the ignition on it dies!

I'd personally stick to Yuasa batteries and expect to pay £40-£60 depending on where you get it from.
