How many of you hose off your callipers after our winter bimbles? I keep forgetting. Or do you not care about the salt?
Yes, I'm procrastinating.

Depends how thorough. A hosing off wont do much.
Usually I muc off the bike and hose it over before putting it away. However last weekend I didn't which I fear I will regret |

Yeah, I'm sitting here thinking I just rebuilt those callipers, and on our last ride out there were many nice salty bits of road. However, I did plough through a few puddles.
I've got a can of brake cleaner sitting 2 foot from the bike too .... and I still won't go out and do it.

As I'm a lazy slob I will be asking Spannerman to check my calipers when the bike goes in for a service soon. Don't ride too much in the "salty" part of the year so I'm not too worried. However, when I did ride/commute year round I never did more than chuck a bucket of water over the bike every now and then and never had too many problems. Would not sweat it too much personally.

Will be fine. Especially if just been rebuilt. Quick clean of the whole bike once a month and give brakes a good proper clean out once a year does the job (although i only do about 6000 miles a year)
