Default Pointy side lights not working.

Hi,

Did post in another section but got no bites so reposting here in the hope that someone can help.

The side lights on my pointy have both stopped working, checked the fuses in the boot and the bulbs and all ok.

I have tried other bulbs as well to no avail.

Wondering if there is a separate fuse for them or anything i can easily check or try to fix this?

Dont really want to put it in to a garage for investigation if its something simple.

Thanks

It could be one of the connectors, I've seen the connectors on the curvy can sometimes fail, even only on individual pins, look for signs of black residue on wires from sparking. There is a main connector to the nose unit so have a look there.

Using a meter to check for voltages really helps checking out the fault, try borrow one if you haven't got one.

Erm, ok thanks for that. I did check the small cable that attaches to the bulb up to the connector block, its about 3 inches long and seemed fine.

Where is the connector to the nose you are referring to? I am limited by lack of tools or shed/garage so cant take it apart too much

first thing you have to do is determine if its the feed or return path that is the problem.

so do you have a multimeter or a simple test lamp?

Here's a pic I just took!

The main connector I'm not sure how you can get to without removing fairing, but that is very easy to do anyway with a few screws removed.

You *might* reach the connectors from the triangle access panels on the dash. Not actually sure if you can because it's been a while since I rooted around in a faired headlight.
