I recently had new tyres fitted so thought I would chance it between showers to scrub them in. things don't always go as planned so I ended up riding through a couple of medium showers which gave the roads a good soaking. On the way home I ended up following traffic for about 10 miles so had spray to contend with, dirty visor OK but the bike was absolutely filthy,to the stage it was grey, not green. You could barely see the headlights.
Purpose of the post being to remind you to not just clean your visor but give your headlights a wipe so that you can be clearly seen Last edited by Dicky Ticker; 15-04-13 at 07:05 AM. |

Seems to be lots of tractors/lorries spreading mud on the road too right now. Was out yesterday and the amount of times I had to back off due to patches of the stuff across the whole carriageway was unreal. As it's warmed up a bit all of the construction sites seem to have got going again and the recent rain has just transferred the surface of most sites onto the neighbouring roads. And then there is the disolving road surfaces leaving gravel all over the place...

Yep, the roads need a good drenching to get rid of all the salt that's been sprayed on them

Two days of heavy showers have cleaned the salt off the roads around here, so things are improving.
