Default Decent traffic police

I do like police that believe prevention is better than cure.

I was riding on A131/130 which in places is very ride two way single carriageway NSL road. You can probably get 4 cars across so there are lots of overtakes. I was in the tight twisty bit a couple of miles before it opens up

I came up behind this slow moving silver focus (45/50 in a 60) and did a safe overtake maybe just passing the 60mph limit. The unmarked black BMW 5 series maybe 100 metres in front waited until I finished the overtake and blipped his rear police lights just to let me know he was traffic.

I was riding pretty sedately anyway after a long blast in the country but I still might have passed him at some point had he not shown the lights. What made it even better was he was very quick in the corners and booted it up to around 65mph on my clock (guessing a true 60) out of every corner and roundabout. It was brilliant following him for about 4 or 5 miles especially in the twisties before he went in to Chelmsford and I headed home.

There's nothing like sensible policing to make your ride a little bit more pleasurable.

Nought worse than riding with off duty ones who insist on demonstrating just how to get from a-b. As you loose sight of them in the distance and have to plan your own road positioning. Bloody show offs.
