Has anybody removed the secondary fuel tap which is mounted to the inside of the frame on the right hand side? The fuel pipe leads from the first fuel tap in the bottom of the tank to the secondary tap, both taps are vacuum switch and use seperate vacuums from the rear inlet rubber. Does anybody know if (firstly I'm right in thinking it's a fuel tap?) there are any problems caused by removin it and feeding the carbs straight from the fuel tanks tap? Why is there two fuel taps to begin with? Any help appreciated

It's not a tap, it's the fuel pump. The carbs are above the bottom of the tank, so the pump is there to lift the fuel and ensure sufficient flow.
