If you don't get any tickets, why don't you consider flying, if all you want to see is the TT

I'm not going this year, but I think next year I'll fly & maybe hire a car. Cheaper than the ferry if I book nice and early.

If you want to go to ride the course, go when its not TT week, too many knobs about.

I think there's flights from Manchester, as that's where I would transfer flights from

I am going this year and know of a single space becoming available on the 31st May and returning on the 4th June - not much use to you I know but I think the specifics of what you are asking are a long shot!

Yup plenty of those about - still a lasting memory for me was being overtaken by an SP2 on the mountain mile - I was doing about 140ish on my Blackbird and he came past me like I was going backwards and when I took the next corner he had disappeared...!

Your best bet may be to ring up on the day when balances are due (think it's end Feb) as that's when most tickets become available as people have only paid deposits to date and there tend to be a high number that change their plans when the full balance becomes due.

28th of feb is final pay day

I wanted to take the bike again this year but it really it isn't worth it. The only thrill is the mountain as the rest of the island is gridlocked. Last year (13) there were police absolutely everywhere at the start of race week and from pub conversations a lot had been caught. I rode the complete circuit 3 times but it was all boring until the mountain so I went a short route up to ramsey via laxey and belted it over the mountain a few more times, Good fun, But that's all i used the bike for. The mountain one way has to be done

Could one of the bikes go a few days early, rider come back & go pillion on other bike & do in reverse after it's over?
I ended up going for 3 weeks last year because it worked out cheaper

Ahh the joys of retirement Puny. Trying to get a full week off from work is like trying to get blood from a stone.
