I reckon most of us on here would be out of breath a bit after sweeping some ice as hard as they do! I do agree with your point a bit, but there is a large amount of skill in it as well.

I like winter Olympics.ice hockey and the snowboarding and the skiing and the bobsled. Even the luge!
But I turn it on and its figure skating or curling! What the hell! I fully understand figure skating is tough but I dont wanna see it. Curling...why isnt watching paint dry an olympic sport? Well done Venessa Mae. Mucho respect! |

I've rather enjoyed watching the women's curling. Particularly when Eve Muirhead was taking part

All about the ice hockey. Curling is people sweeping an ice floor. Skill or no skill, I don't enjoy watching people sweep.

Curling is takes a lot of stamina and upper body strength. The sweeping is HARD work!! Only played a few times but been left aching for days every time!

+1 on MBK, you need to get yourself on a curling rink and have a go. It is a very physical and very, very skilled sport and that doesn't even start to think about tactics. Think of chess but with physical abilities thrown in.
Well done to the 'Scottish' team on their Bronze medal and to the three girls from Dumfries and Galloway. IIRC - Think you'll find us the most succesful region in british winter olympic history !!! ![]() p.s. - the sweeping does make a lot of difference.
