Default Lucky charms and talismans

A few years ago a sweet and talented young artist in Thailand gave me a piece of crystal and said it would keep me safe on the bike - well I haven't crashed since so maybe it's doing some good. I also have my lucky rubber cockroach in my wallet

Just before Chris8886 left I gave him a small silver sybil pendant to wear, (a wise woman/prophet) etched with the word 'safe' and told him she'd look after him on his travels as an alternative to a St Christopher. I still think she manifested herself in human form as the off duty nurse who gave him CPR in that Thai bar and kept him alive when his heart stopped.

So anyone else on here have their little charms that despite no scientific proof, they are convinced brings them a little bit of luck and protection? Or am I just bonkers?

It's all cobblers and you're clearly bonkers.

It's still bad luck to ride with the pillion pegs down when there's no-one on the back though.

I got stabbed 8 times when I was standing in Asda, but when I collapsed convulsing onto my groceries I didn't break any of my eggs. Wow, I'm lucky.

No. Stupid logic. Stop it.

Luck is just deviation from what would be predicted by probability that is inherent in small sample sizes.

Most of the GM may have noticed my "lucky" To Ride or Not to Ride T-shirt I wear when out on the bike. I have never crashed wearing that T-shirt (despite being a reckless idiot) but have had a few spils when not wearing it???

A load of supersticious nonesense I reckon but it makes me feel better.

I've got my PaddyPower lucky pants on. Mostly because I need to do a wash and they are my end of the washing basket pair.

They only stabbed you 8 times? I'd have had you shot then electrocuted as well and made sure they made a proper job of it.
