Default Fork Spring Identification - SV650S K6

Hi,

I think I know the answer to this, but I believe in giving the benefit of the doubt where possible.

The question is .. should K-Tech 8.5 springs look visibly different from normal Pointy fork springs? For example different wire diameter, free length, or type of wind (standard springs have a touch of progression with closer winding at the lower end).

Would appreciate any confirmation, can post photos if it helps.

I have k-tech .85 springs in my curvey and they are linear and look linear, the OE springs had a mild progressive wind. I'd guess it's the same for the pointies, but a guess.

Close ups of the ends, two standard pointy, one supposedly a K-Tech .85 ...

One standard and one "K-Tech" full length ...

I'm struggling to believe they are indeed K-Tech, are they? Same type of wind, wire is actually very slightly thinner, free length about 4mm longer. Standard springs off a different year SV maybe?

I have K-Tech .85's in the curvy track bike. They have a uniform wind all the way down and, I believe a 0.85 etched into the top.

Those look like standard springs to me.

Jambo.

Well no response from the seller, which is pretty disappointing. Should I name them?
