Hi guys, my rear right indicator was completely blown, full of water and rusted to hell.
i've bought some new LED ones and fitted them in, however they flash way to quickly, a restrictor came with them but i am completely clueless as to where it should go to stop both front and back indicators flashing at this speed? Is there a simple way to fit it in? I have seen a good few bikes with aftermarket indicators that appear to flash way to quickly but am i right in thinking it is a MOT fail if they're OTT? Thanks in advance for any help given! |

If you didn't get instructions with them, and can't figure out how to fit the resistor, then get one of these
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Suzuki-SV6...item259318da6b Just replaces the OEM relay. Plug & play Whhat make LED'ss did you get

the resistors are to add loading (to equal bulbs), so just solder in (between the power and indicator) one on each side (as in one to left circuit; the other to right), it's a cheap way to negate buying a new flasher relay.

It won't matter, the relay will replace the Suzuki relay, whether its for SV650, GSXR750, just search EBAY for GSF600 LED relay.

I think i'm going to try and repair my old indicator now, as after 2 days the brilliantly made chineese model has quite simply... blown off

Buy some decent ones, I've got some Oxford Nano LED indicators.
Well made, bright & have instructions that are understandable ![]()

For future notice, the ballast resister goes in parallel with the indicator lamp and turns current into heat which can then be dispersed into the air or the frame. I have a set on the front of my bike, not that you can see them because they are bolted to the fairing frame, to draw heat away from them.
Watch out for the cheap Halfords lamps, they do work brilliantly for a few months, but if you need to work on them or clean out the dirt in the lens, the tabs that hold the lens onto the body will snap off and you end up buying a new set. I worked there and got through several sets on staff discount prices! |
