i have just been informed that if your running win7 upwards and not win10 there is an automatic update that installs win10 without intervention

if you dont want win10 then turn off automatic updates or next time you boot your computer you will have win10.

i'm personally pizzed off at this as i bought win7 pro as i like it and i'm not interested in win10 as i have a feeling i know what will be there next trick.

it installs the background files for when you want to install it. You can turn this off in the updates section to prevent it happening & you can also uninstall these files if they've been downloaded already.

yup i know about that but from what i have been told its now automatic and you dont get a choice.

yes you can if you know what you are doing. the GP will not have a clue or a choice to do so as it will be an automatic update. you will turn your machine off then when you turn it back on again you will be greeted with win10. i could be wrong.

ok looks like you have a prompt but i know for a fact that 99% of users just press ok when they see this. you then have 31days to revert back... and gawd help you if you do try.

i urge everyone using win7 or 8 to back up their data NOW....... no not later... NOW

You can roll back to the previous version of windows if you don't like 10
