Default Aberdeen, two months in...

1) Apart from the drowning the first week of Jan, I've scrapped the car windscreen every single morning.
2) The people are mega friendly, even if I do struggle to understand some of them.
3) The food up here, even from supermarkets is outstanding.
4) Deer on the front garden. 100's of seals on the beach. It's like a zoo.
5) The roads 20 miles north of Aberdeen, where we are, are devoid of traffic.
6) Aberdeen is an amazing night out.... from what I can remember.

So why don't more people live here? Coz its bl00dy freezing!

I went hitching round Scotland a good few years ago in my often misspent youth and we camped just outside Aberdeen.Cold?I had to buy a new jacket.

Glad you seem to be enjoying it Bri. Have you retired up there or gone for the filthy lucre?

Best update your location tag.... "Location: Just south of M'bro, on the northeast riviera."

Told the boss in July I would be retiring at Christmas. He pestered me from then till Nov with different offers, and one that tickled my fancy. I head up our UK oil and gas division.
