Default Engine death

Bizare moment leaving work last night. The bike starts and runs fine, but I move 10m and as I come to a stop before joining the road the engine instantly dies (no spluttering etc).

Electrics check, starter motor turns the engine, but it wouldnt fire. Getting fustraited and about to call out the breakdown service I try one more time but give a little throttle as I press the starter... and it works. No more problems on the way home either.

Is this likely to be a symptom of a more serious problem? I would guess (and hope) it was just a slightly clogged fuel line

alarm, imobiliser, electrics, dirty switch, fueling, all in your imagination...could be any of these.

Mine has done that a couple of times in the cold. I put it down to the TRE mod...but if its happening to you it could be a common problem?

Might well have been the cold... the bike had been sitting outside all day

Do you let it warm a little while you put on your gear or do you just start it and ride away?

You've got a K&N Filter and a Renegade can on there... a cold engine, you're going to be running a very rich mixture.

I've had the same on mine from time to time, and if it stalls cold like that, it can be a bugger to restart.

I prescribe a re-map... something that I've not had done yet, but am looking forward to
