Went out today to check my TPS (as per http://forums.sv650.org/viewtopic.ph...hlight=tps+mod) but failed at the first hurdle whilst trying to find the dealer mode connector.
Is the K4 model the same as the one in the pictures? If not, anyone know where the connector is? However, if it is the same, where's mine? ![]() Any help appreciated! Cheers, - Dan |

I've looked on my K4 and the connector is in the place mentioned in the guide. Take the pillion seat off and reach down and to the left, it's got a cover on it and could be a bit buried under the cables.

it would seem that the connector on the K4 model is different to the one in the TPS+MOD http://forums.sv650.org/viewtopic.ph...hlight=tps+mod, which i believe was a K3. I was going to do the adjustment to my K4 but am not sure which two terminals to bridge in the connector block. Can anyone help?

On my K4 it looks identical to the one in the pic, and when the appropriate connectors are put together it does exactly what the guide says it should.
There are two connectors very near each other on mine, perhaps you're grabbing the other one. Both are on very short wires. |

I can confirm that on the K4, the connector bock in question is identical to the one on the K3.
I modded Leigh Bradbury's bike and found that it's in pretty much the same position but is slightly more awkward to get at! (there's progress for you!! ![]() The two terminals you need to bridge are the only two that are nest to each other... It's a 6 position connector with only 4 pins in it, so it's easy to find! This is a rough example of what I mean! o o x o o x (Where o = connection pin and x = no connection!) HTH |

Dont know what all the fuss is about coombest did a fantastic job on the how to with photos only had to read it once off i went out side, mine SV1000s was set with the bar at the bottom on tickover and didnt kick in until about 4000rpm It was very easy to correct with his instructions went out for a spin and low and behold a smoother bike at the bottom end.
If you dot mind coombest i have now passed this over to the boys on the sv1000zyns site. Just one question were did you get 1450 rpm from |
