Out of curiosity...........
Would the inclusion of a K&N air filter on a restricted curvy be likely to cause a problem with fuelling? The bike starts almost every time with no choke at all and if run for a minute or so, smells very fuely. Is this normal and/or a side affect of the restriction? I must admit to confusion on the whole fuel / air mix thing. Does running "rich" mean generous on fuel or generous on air? Cheers, Garry ![]() |

Rich is too much fuel... Lean too much air. A K&N shouldn't make the bike rich, unless it's really clogged. There's different way sof restricting them though, if it's been done with the carb slides that could have all sorts of interesting effects. Never met one before though
![]() Smelling fuiel doesn't have to mean it's rich though- it can also mean it's so lean that it's not burning right, though this isn't too common. It took a formiddable amount of stupidity to make that happen with mine...
