Default Swaped Petrol Tank - now the engine won't start

Hi @ll

I have finally got all the parts to repair my bike. Today i replaced the Petrol Tank and put in new fuel - but the bike just won't start.

It has been in the garage for 2 months and never started in that time.

Any help will be greatly appreciated

What's it actually doing? Do you get any partial firing or does it just keep turning on the starter without anything happening?
Have you checked for a good spark?
Do you know if fuel is definitely getting into the carbs?

These were my thoughts too... Have you trapped the fuel line, or created an air-lock

Yeah maybe you have trapped the breather pipe.

Have you drained the carbs?
Normally I wouldn't expect them to gunk up in just 2 months but I'd drain the bowls anyway.

Hi Seth,

Your's is a K3, is not? If so then you'll have a fruitless search for carbs as it's fuel-injected

How long did you turn the engine over for? Perhaps not long enough to get fuel down the lines from the tank to the FI system?
