There are a few cheap ticket deals advertised in the magazines, mcn etc. But you have to commit to actually going, no refunds and transfers i think.

I have a friendly BSB team who send me a few tickets cos im a yorkshireman with short arms and deep pockets :P

Certainly a good day out, and Brands is good for viewing too

Tickets dont normally sell out, they might do for a grandstand seat at a GP because many of these seats are taken up with corporate hospitality.

To be honest you are better getting a weekend ticket, the practice and qualifying are generally as exciting as the main event, plus you get to see a lot more behind the scenes, meet riders or end up tripping over them in the showers.

You can buy tickets on the gate for race day only but you tend to have to pay full price, unless you want to risk the touts.

Also I find that you are better viewing from several different corners rather than stay in one place all day.

Thanks for the calendars, they come in handy for the TV viewing.

As for tickets, always contact the circuit themselves, cuts out the middle men.

A lot of circuits you will find now will not sell you tickets direct. I seem to recall an agreement was made to sell them through a ticket sales service... MCN is always a good option as they do give reasonable advance purchase discounts. You can of course, always call the circuits to get your tickets but they will be the same price as from anywhere else.

The World Superbike meetings, particularly at Brands Hatch (the biggest 1 day sporting event in the UK each year!) and the MotoGP at Donners always get well sold and you may find it harder to get tickets colser to the time. However, I have not known anyone to have an issue with buying a ticket on the gate yet!

I will definitely be going to all of the Brands Hatch rounds as I live so close and I'll make it to several of the other BSB rounds too.
I'm just hoping I'll be fit for the start of the season, as I can then wear those ever so attractive orange marshals overalls and stand trackside!!

It is a great day out/weekend going to any of the race meetings but I would recommend that you don't take too much with you - it gets heavy & awkward! Drink plenty, take something to sit down on (plastic/blanket to put down or a tripod stool, etc.), food may be useful - the burger vans are almost all there is and they aren't particularly cheap (or brilliant!). If you intend to camp, take plenty of clean clothes as it's bound to rain at some point over a race weekend, take extra blankets and also cooking utensils, bread & bacon - you will be so grateful of it in the morning with a hangover from your choice of tipple, which you should also take a few of! Earplugs may be useful, as you probably won't get much sleep otherwise!!
Yet again, don't take too much - you often have to park in a different field to the one you camp in if you go by car & if you go by bike, you've gotta find a way of fitting it on the bike!!

Most of all - enjoy the weekend... It's a good idea if you haven't been before to go to one of the BSB meets before a World championship event, just to get an idea of it all before being dumped in at the deep end!!
Also - it's always good to take a mate with you so you don't sit there like Billy No Mates all day/night & when someone wants s drink, your space can be saved by them!!

PS. The BSB calendar is still subject to change!!

It's not exactly likely at this late stage but it could happen!

If you buy tickets for an event & it is rescheduled or cancelled, you should get a ticket for an alternative event or your money back though!

Just thought it should be pointed out!!

Motorsport vision are the owners of Brands hatch along with a number of other circuits, they are offering a good deal (in my opinion, not the girlfriends) for people living in the south east, £125.00 gets you access to all motor events held at brands both 2 wheel and 4 wheels (got to cater for all sorts!!) inc BSB and WSB events

I was Aat WSB last year, FAB biggest 1 day event in the UK and normally the weather is spot on, just remember to take something to change into as leathers are v warm!!!
