What's nine hundred and ninety nine thousand, nine hundred and sixty five posts between friends? IanSV sends that many in an afternoon!

Don't know if this will help but when I got new springs and goldvalves in the forks, due to financial restrictions, rather than replacing the shock i just had a new spring fitted as the damping of the original wasn't too bad. The spring that they used for my weight, 90kg, was an R1 spring with an adapter made to fit. Made a huge difference and cost bugger all.

Most of the shocks used cost not much either, if you're patient you can get a Busa one for a tenner... But that's a good idea, surprised more people don't do it- I suppose to get the spring off it's just a case of unscrewing the preload thingers.

I fitted a gsxr 750 to my 99 sv650s. It has transformed the bike, all for £30 and 4 hrs work. If you are near to me (Durham UK) call in and have a ride..........
