Default GPR Steering Dampers - sv650.org Offer HAS FINISHED

I've been a regular user of the site for a while now and have found it a very useful resource. In addition to being one of the cofounders of the MiniTwins race series I also run the www.biketrackdays.co.uk track day listing web site and the www.trackparts.co.uk site, which I use to sell GPR steering dampers and ABE wavy brake discs.

As the main track day and racing support agent for GPR I have been able to negotiate a discount of 10% for members of the sv650.org web site. The steering dampers come in a range of colours including red, platinum, blue, gold, black, orange, green and purple. At the moment I have the fitting kits for the faired models and will be working with GPR to produce some kits for the unfaired bikes in the coming months.

The list price is 299 pounds including the fitting kit. This might seem a lot compared to many of the rivals on the market but having used them in racing I am convinced that they provide much better control than the alternatives. GPR steering dampers have been used by several of the leading MiniTwins racers as well as notching up SuperSport 600 championship wins, wins at the TT and Manx GP plus the Champion of Brands title for 2004. Several racers have commented that they have improved the stability of the bike under braking as well as under acceleration which must be unique to the GPR design as I have never heard it said about any of the other types.

I have only been able to negotiate the 10% discount until the end of January. For this limited period I will be selling them for 269 pounds plus 5 pounds postage and packing. Should anyone wish to collect the damper from me in East London I will give them a hand to fit it to their bike.

Due to not being able to get enough fitting kits to fill all the orders for K3/K4 models the discount has been extended until the end of February.

K3/K4 Fitting kits now in stock.

I can be contacted on 07775 - 833 965 or via info@trackparts.co.uk if that is easier. Payment can be made by cheque, cash or credit card.

Regards,

Mike

Hey,

I think the naked versions are prone to get tank slappers...

It isn't, even on race bike. Some people find that it helps the stability of thebike under hard braking, other have found that it reduces the gentle weave at high speeds that contributes to arm pump.

On the other hand, if you are accelerating and the front hits a man hole cover or a bump in the road then I'd rather the front end only shook once or twice rather than twenty times down the main road.

Had the mother of all tank slappers on a faired SV a month or so back! Hit a small pothole under very hard acceleration, rather foolishly racing a Scooby down the East Lancs Road near St Helens! About 250 metres of side to side bar action , it must have been pretty impressive, the Scooby driver asked if I was OK at the next set of lights! I rather nonchalantly said everything was cool, but didn't contiue the race!

He he, after the TL1000, I expect Suzuki classed that as one area of the SV that couldn't be "budget"

Thanks on securing the offer, if I had a bit more cash I'd probably get one, if only to give me more confidence in the bike.
