Default Renthal Bar Ends

Hi all,

Have a slight issue with the standard Suzuki Bar Ends as the throttle Bar end keeps coming loose, this is after putting the Oxford heated grips on.

Anyway, the long n short is:

Are the Renthal bar ends OK to replace the standard ones, Nagai mentioned to me about the weight or summat causing the steering to go funny or summat similar?

Anyone got any ideas, as the Renthals look nice on the web site, and would fit under the rubber on the Heated grips I guess?

Plus £16 is a snip I thought?

Cheers - Mass

Weighted bar ends... they can help keep the steering stable, but I think this is more an issue on naked bikes. I've got double hard bar ends and they are very light, I've not had any problems.

If they're not very heavy you might be able to feel a bit more vibes through the bars. In terms of the bike getting unstable and shaking it's head more often, I doubt it. The SK4 is pretty stable in that regard.
I've been missing a bar end for quite a while now and not noticed any extra head shaking. I often accelerate pretty hard and sometimes on pretty rough surfaces if I know the road.

I've got Renthal bar-ends on my Renthal bars... on my naked SV. The steering feels much lighter with them - you certainly have to keep hold of the bars a little bit more than I used to.

However, they're fine, no real problems... and they look quite cool.

Tried fitting them this afternoon.

But have managed to fix the standard ones
So I might stick with the standard ones for now.

And the weight difference in the standard ones and the Renthals is amazin'
I didn't realise those bar ends had so much weight in them.

another £20 or so wasted!

I've gone from stock to none to DHBs back to none to R&Gs, and to be honest it all felt exactly the same

I do find more vibration without any barends, but it's not a huge difference.
Mass, if you don't want the Renthal barends, I'll have them off you for what you paid. One of mine went AWOL and the other got knackered in my last drop.

I've got 'Bikesliders' bar ends on my bike & I don't notice any difference between those & the original ones TBH

The Bikesliders ones are made from Delrin®
