Default I am so , so , so P****d off

Ok, so I put the Blue cow in for her first service (that was Tuesday last week). And told them that I would pick it up on Saturday.

So Saturday comes, I go down to the shop (where I bought it from) and picks her up.
I'll just add at this point I have had "One Sexy looking Double Bubble added"...which is about the only thing to put a smile on my face at the moment.

I gets chatting to the owner of the shop about the screen and so on, and he tells me to take it easy as I was teeling him that I will be using it for work as of Monday.

So I pulls her up outside the shop to set off from the lights, and already I'm noticing that the clutch lever is so far out that it I have to let the lever out all the way before I can feel the bite so I thought to myself, ahh it's just me (as you do), and also thinks, it'll get beter as I use her??

Gets along the M4 for 1 junstion, and on my way to footy. Comes off the M4 and pulls to slow down at a round-about. Next thing, she stalls, WTF !
So I tries to start her, not having it!
Start her, and then notices that she's idling at between 900 - 1000 revs WTF WTF WTF!!!
And sounds like a bag of spanners!
So i Phoned the shop and explained, oh and BTW the loss of power is just heart wrenching to say the least! GUTTED!
They explain to me that they could look at it now, but the mechanic is not in until Monday!

So that's me fooked for work tomorrow, and the car is out of action also.

What a fooker!

One Gutted and Pi$$ed off Mass

That's not good... What service was it? Still the 500 or have you managed to get miles on her?

The clutch lever thing seems to be a standard dealer madness, they don't like to let a bike pass through their doors without adjusting it in some way, just so you nearly fall off in the car park... When they put the Roadtecs on mine they did it again.

HIya Northy,

Managed to get 650 miles on her. Mate, I am so mad it's unreal.
it's not the fact that I can't go to work on her, it's the fact that she sounds like a strangled cat and feels like a different bike.

I am deffo taking first thing tomorrow morn, and waiting until they fix her.

Nah mate, she's a new-un...well not exactly - A K4

..what's also come to mind, is the fact that they thought I wasn't going to pick my old screen up either

(So they think i'm gonna leave it in the shop with them)

The mind boggles...

Glad to take my money though

I can't think of anything that gets done on the first service that could possibly cause that, it's all idiot-stuff like oil changes, check idle speed, tighten all the bolts, that sort of thing... Unless there's FI stuff as well for your model

I accuse... Something electrical causing one pot to stop firing. Either that or a fuel problem. If they had the tank up for some reason that could have trapped a wire or hose somewhere, or stirred up cack in the tank. Weird though. Hope it gets sorted out quickly for you anyhow mate...

Garages - *******s! I had nasty experiences following a service too.

Hold out for:
a: Good loan bike
b: Freebies - they will of course say that this is a first. You are highly inconvenienced and found the whole experience very frightening and at times very dangerous. Your friends (fellow bikers) have had to help you out of this pickle of the garages making, which has, of course, given them a poor impression.

(I got a K4 650S loan bike, Art exhaust and my forks professionally polished)

What a ****er. Keep us posted. And make sure you get that screen, you may want to return to stock and sell on the goodies one day.
