Times change.You can buy an older 748 really cheap now,or you can buy an SV Thou.I do remember though that the 748 was Ride Power most unreliable bike at least once if not more often.You pays yer money---

The artcle is a bit of a blast from the past, not one I'd read before but does show the potential available when tuning a SV.
I think with big bore and head work they made their conversion quite expensive, add to that a complete Gixer 600 front end and you've spent too much. S long as you do your own tunign work and can keep your suspension mods simple you shouldn't be spending a fortune. Face it, selling a modified SV you won't recover that expenditure, but if it was just about money we wouldn't do what we do. |
