Which SV do you have? Pointy or curvy? You mentioned a remap and a rejet in the same question, but one is for FI the other carbs.
A reject and dyno run, I don't know how much.
A remap and dyno run, shouldn't be much more than about £60.

The K&N doesn't seem all that good for the carbed SV... Put it this way, you can drop it in and the bike'll go without rejetting. If you put in a BMC Race RS (once again, not Race, Race RS), it won't go without rejetting, so logically the BMC is far better at shifting air.

Is it worth it? Don't really think so myself- for the price of the parts and work you don't get a huge boost. I've done it (with a full system) but then I can do most of the work myself so it's cheaper.

If you ask me the best way to tune an SV is put the money in the bank and buy a thou To make moding one worth it you have to enjoy the work, and you have to want to have a modded bike as an end in itself (ike me and similiar addicts) You can get a lot more out of the bike with some sensible mods, but if you're having to pay for the labour it quickly becomes very expensive.

But that's just me, not everyone would agree. And I do have one of the more worked-on SVs on the forum, so my opinion's obviously suspect
