I had a BMC air filter put in a year ago at a service and figured I should probably at least inspect it in anticipation of a decent summer with a good number of biking miles.
Do I just stick it in a bucket with some paraffin for 5 mins? Is there a specific oil for re-oiling it afterwards or can I use 80W Gear oil which I have lying around? Experiences and advice please. ![]() |

if you go to your local boy racer shops they usually have K&N filter oil sprays in stock, dont know about washing it though

I've stuck a BMC in a washing machine before and it came out real nice. Tried to recycle a standard filter that way but it went misshaped and paper became fluffy.
