chopped the system with a grinder (about 3-5 mins), the link pipe was quite tight to fit over the original system but a bit of fiddling sorted this, bolt can on,line everything up,tighten all clamps (hey presto!)
in total about an hour to an hour and a half,it was that bloody link pipe that took all the time. it sounds the bizz! the baffle has only been in once and it wont be in again! ive been reading your post's on your yosi its nice to have a removable baffle to have the choice, you wont be disapointed with the tune it will play it may evan make number 1 ![]() daz(midlands) |

Excellent - I haven't got an angle grinder but i read that a lot of people use a few hacksaw blades to achieve the same effect with a little more expenditure of la grease d'elbow.
I don't suppose you have a sound clip of the exhaust do you? I've heard a Scorpion on their website which sounds ace - but I'd like to hear an actual owners bike. The best sound IMO, is not given when you blip it, but when you initially accelerate to about 5,000 rpm - then let it go - pops and all! My favourite ever sound ever ever ever aside from Termis on a 998, is my mate's '98 VFR 800 with Arrow pipes - the sound of a V4 with gear driven cams with a race system on - wonderful. I'll see if I can get hold of the sound clip. UPDATE: listen here - http://pkl.net/~toasty/DWVFR800.mp3 ![]() |

Just finished fitting my Carbon Scorpion on my SV.
Found a great way of cutting the original pipe... I used a Black & Decker Scorpion LOL it was great no need to remove anything the blade is just big enougth to cover the whole pipe dia, and clears the swing arm etc. By the way it sounds awsome without the baffle in... ![]() |

hi skip, its a road legal scorp @£169 but you unscrew the baffle pipe and its then a race can. ideal for me as im a postman and have to leave the house at 5am! i get a short way down the road (away from the neighbours) and take the pipe out! you have the best of both worlds and like everyone says on here you wont be dissapointed with the sound! the sound alone is worth £200 !!!!!!!!!!!
