BT014
G'day folks
Has anyone seen these on the shelves yet? If so is anyone tempted to try them or heard of any reviews? Just wondered if they were actually out yet - I've seen a few ads in various magazines. cheers

They're definitely out and come as standard fitment to the new GSXR 600s. Supposed to be excellent but I haven't seen anyone with them on their SV yet.

I fitted an 014 on the back a couple of weeks ago. 010 still on the front
Am really pleased. Had an 020 before. The 014 feels oh so secure in corners and turn in is faster. Very impressed by 'on rails' feeling of security. Anyone tried the front? |

A friend has just put some on her CBR600R and seems to be impressed with them so far. She got the from Essential Rubber in Hackney. Decent guys. Well priced. Great service. (Just don't ask them to fit a scottoiler)

The unit was straped to the outside of the bike right infront of the tool kit (apparently with my water proof trousers under the seat where wasn't enough room) and the tube to the wheel ran along the front of the swingarm and wasn't very well secured. if I had removed the stuff from under the seat and left instructions as to how I wanted it fitting I'm sure they would have been able to do a better job but I figured as the bit I was nervous about didn't need changed I would bother getting them to re do it so I did it myself. Didn't take me too long to fix and I was lucky with the tubing as there was just enough to move the unit under the seat. Tube now also runs under the swing arm, and have replaced and repositioned the nib (which fell of the day after they fited it). |

Well I just got the new BT014's fitted front + rear a few weeks ago, and I have to say they are brilliant.
Everything is 100% better; turn in speed, corner speed, braking and acceleration. The whole package is spot on. Handling is just outstanding, I always new the tyres played a huge part in a bike handling but it just transforms the feel. I say well done bridgestone, top job. Ride Safe Paul |

SVSilver. What are they like in the wet? Have you rode when it's raining?
I think this is important as you never know when you will get caught out with the British "summer" |

Yeh know what you mean about our so called 'summer'.
The only time I have been really caught out with these tires is when I picked them up. Sods law really drive down on a nice sunny morning drop the bike of, come back hour later to drive home in the RAIN. Even though the tyres were brand new and shiny they were still impresive, though obviously I wasn't pushin them. Will let you know when I next go out in the rain. Paul |
