Default bolt size please

the 2 plastic side bits- (Black) on my 02 witht hte grills in- I have the Al key bolts for below the petrol tank but none for the ones at the rear under the seat??

1.are they needed?
2. if they are- what size mm are they and what length ?? please..

I dont think they're needed if they've come off ... the bolt should keep it in place. One of mine however is just held on by that bit becuase I overtightened the head off one of the bolts and need to bore it out

if its the bits i,m thinking of your description a bit vague for me this time of the day. is it the little black panel thats under rider seat as you look at the side of the bike

yea martyn it is... that little triangular panel..

I know they stay on with just the one bolt-
but me being so "bob on" and liking everything just "so" - If there is a hole there I will fill it !!

it is just buggin me
