Default Local Suzuki dealer

Hi all,

You may or may not know about the "Issues" I'm having at the moment with my local Suzuki dealer - (See Idle Banter thread).

I've called Suzuki this morning, their customer service office isn't open until tomorrow (Bank holiday I guess), but have left my details, and they are calling me back tomorrow.

I very much suspect that the local delaer in question is going to charge me today for looking at the bike.
He's going to get a shock when I refuse, and tell him I have informed Suzuki..

We shall see

This bloke is just amazain'

He tells me on Saturday that he would be looking at the bike on Monday, and even whilst in the shop he tells another customer that the parts will be in on Monday and to picke them up
Yet the shop sin't even open today ..I know it's Bank Holiday, but get your story right - what a nob!
That means I wont have the bike back until Wednesday now!!

I'm guessing from the tale of woe that it's neither Bevan's or Thunder Road? And I doubt that even South Wales Superbikes would do that

Either way, what a ****er

Nah Jabb,

No fear in naming and shaming. Ken Roberts, Caerleon Road, Newport.

Waiting for Suzuki to ring me back tomorrow, this bloke is just clearly interested in selling stuff, not interested in something that he has sold already. I can't beleive the cheek of the guy to try and get me to buy a Suzuki oversuit on my way out the shop.
Yet has nothing to offer me to ride home on

And the bits that came off....

And came out of here

Don't know if you can see from the top piccy - but the peg is slightly bent as well.

Discussion with Suzuki will be tomorrow now.

That dont look to good mate!

Completley different to my K3 in that department... I would post a piccy..

But the gear lever and brake lever on the older model are kept on by one big bolt that goes into the foot peg.. so its all in one assembly...

Looks like a bolt came loose on that one...
take him to the cleaners, and if he tries to charge you for just looking at it, or even storage... give him hell!

string him along, tell him you'd be happy with 2k px on your sv,
then TELL HIM TO GO F**K HIM SELF !
i hate the theifing *******s, my dealer is great if you buying but sadly thats it! i think its got to do with him making ££££ out of you.

Right OK,

So gets a call from Suzuki customer service. Explaisn to them what's happened.
All that they can do is make a note of the discrepancy, and the fact that the dealers are independent, there is not a lot they can do.
I mentioned the tank, and the gear changer, and they advised that I can take it to any authorised dealer and they will put it through as a warranty somthing or other for me.
OK, so I chnage dealer then

So gonna ring Ken Roberts and ask when the bike will be ready, his loss really, as with the mileage I do, the bike will be getting serviced quite regularly.

Good after sales customer service costs nothing, and I'm the kind of person that IF I get good quality service then I will go back, and give them a good name.
On this occassion MR Roberts has done himself no favours.

Has the gear lever just unscrewed its self? I had the same thing happen, you can fix it yourself if you can't wait.

Yes mate,

Yeah I would do it myself, but the point I'm making is the fact that the peg is bent, and the fault should have been picked up the other week, when it was in for it's first service, not teaching anyone to sucks eggs at all, as I'm not that kind a blokey, but if you look atthe service manual, it clearly says that all nuts and bolts to be checked and tightened.
They clearly missed one, and an important one at that.

The other point I'm trying to make is that this bloke is clearly not interested in replacing anything, I have an small issue with the tank as well.
There seems to be a small paint blister appearing at the bottom of the tank, I mentioned this to him twice now, and he reckons he cant get a photo of it to send to Suzuki, but I have heard nothing since, and am worried that this bloke simply is waiting for the warranty to expire.

Sine the little incident last Friday on the M4 where the gear lever decided to go it's on way my confidence in the bike isn't that good either.
So I was trying to stress to the dealer that I would like him to check the bike over.
To which he replied, you can fix it yourself ????

And then tries to sell me an oversuit on the way out of the shop

Sorry FS for my rant. I have had a really sh1tty weekend mate, I'm not having a go at all. And if a pub was near, me and yo would be sitting in it
