Default Red oil ?

Just done an oil change. I decided to try something different and went for Castrol GP. 4 stroke motorcycle oil. 10W 40 with a SG API grade rating.

But it was RED is this a new thing or have I been living in the dark ages

Maybe it was a dark amber color? All oil is some shade of amber. Maybe it was the lighting?
Or maybe, it was some sort of evil oil, distilled straight from the refineries of HELL!!

Or not.

It's pretty isn't it And the fork oil I used was a really nice shade of blue too.

I was greasing a bearing on my brother's mountain bike with Silkolene RG2 grease, which is a nice dark red. I cleaned up with a bit of kitchen roll and went into the house with it in my hands, my brother thought I was bleeding to death
