On 0% finance it's not too bad but I'd try very hard to get another £200 off the price.

sounds about right. u might be able to get a better deal if u order more things though, such as an alarm or a free tail tidy or something. its worth asking, they can only say no

Default Alarms

I was quoted about 280 for the Suzuki alarm ( which is thatcham approved ). I think you can get up to a 1000 pounds worth of stuff and add it to your finance deal as well ( not including leathers or a lid ).

Haggle them down, get a cheap bank loan from somewhere else and pay for it like that. That way:

1. The loan isn't secured on the bike so if you default, then nobody's going to come and snatch the bike back.

2. You'll be able to sell it without paying all the finance off.

3. It'll probably cost the same in the long run if you're planning on buying accessories as well. Most companies will give excellent APRs on loans above £4,000-5,000 (usually around 6%).

4. You won't be tied in to (often stupid) terms and conditions of dealer finance, some of them state you must keep the loan for a year or more before paying off/selling.

i was going to pay cash for the bike anyway so if i had the 0% i could leave my money in the building socioty and gain intrest on it and if anything happened i would still have the money to pay for the bike.

I have just come back from Fowlers in Bristol where they have 0% on a K5 650 for £4600, 20% discount on extra's, fitting for free and a free cat 1 alarm.

Not looking for me, but my brother, who has decided after years of wanting, now is the time to go get his licence.

At the moment he can't decide between the Bandit, Hornet or the CBF.

I ofcourse told him which one I think is the best.
