Default shock again...sorry

is this a suitable shock for a fat git on a k3? Sorry to ask again, I know there was a page that listed them all but i can't find it. It ends in 3 hours so please help...

My advice, should you wish to take it, would be to wait for a GSX-R shock. I belive that the 6R shock will fit in theory, as in the linkages top and bottom will accomodate it. However, I can see that external resevior causing you a major headache when cutting the battery tray to make it fit.

cheers dude. I would rather a gixxer shock although I hear the kwaka ones are good if you're heavy. Will prolly go for the gsxr one though

That's the wrong model zx6 shock to fit to an SV. You want a later ZX^ shock with the resevoir mounted transversely across the shock. This is haow the SRAD shock also has its resevoir. Both a GSXR and a ZX6 shock will require some cutting to the battery box, and the tank mounting. You will also need to shift the battery up a little.

The only shocks that are a straight bolt on replacement for the SV are things like ohlins WP etc.

Hi all, also a yamaha trx is a strait bolt on with no cutting to the batery box.

That one you were looking at will fit....but buggers up most other things..ie where to put the battery...... ignore it its not worth it..trust me...

Hundreds of people have put SRAD shocks into the SV and not regretted it though.
