Default sounds fast . . . all mouth and no trosuers?

As a resident of the glorious island of Ireland I'm faced with having to run my bike in restricted form for two years after passing my test. So I'm wondering is it simply sad to put on a better sounding exhaust when running my SV in restricted guise? As a more mature, old!, rider I'm not seeking a noisy baby waking exhaust, but something with a more soulful sound wouod be alright. What's the general consesenu here.

If you want the true sound of a v-twin but still want a civilized amount of noise, then I would recomend the Remus revolution. It's a race can with removable baffle.

With the baffel in it sounds nice but not too loud. Then you can take it out and be a hooligan when it takes your fancy. Even with the baffle out it's not stupidly loud, unlike my Renegade and the ART cans.

Hey,

Everyone deserves an aftermarket can on their SV; restricted or not. It changes the bike completely, I am thankful for mine mine! *cough* M4 *cough*

Well, if you slide it down the road, an aftermarket can is cheaper to replace. Also, the standard can is bloody heavy, and an after market race can (especially the more "empty" ones) will make the bike easier to handle.

I'm in ireland too, my SV had an ART can on it when i got it and it was too loud, i got a removable baffle off ebay and it made it a bit quieter, now its just loud, instead of LOUD.
in restricted form the SV is still good for 100mph, it just runs out of breath at 7000rpm (well, on the carbed models anyway, i've never driven an Fi one)
I really would go for a can with a removable baffle though, i took the art can off when i was fitting the baffle, and we ran the bike with the pipe off, i can honestly say there wasn't much difference

Its not the true SV experience without a can, get one ASAP!!

+ Handling
+ Sound
+ Looks
+ Feel

PS. Should get more than a Ton in restricted form.

NB. If you dont want LOUD dont get the BLue Flame sans baffell
