just come back in from a 2 hr run, and my a*se is aching soooooooooooooo much, worse with the gel seat than when i had the standard seat.
i have also had the suspension changed to stiffer fork springs and a gsxr 1000 shock. why am i getting such a sore backside? could it be that the suspension set up is too hard or is the gel seat less comfortable for some owners a*ses? any ideas? W |

I found my **** was a bit sorer with the gel seat than the standard - it's certainly firmer - the only time it isn't is when i' m wearing my thermal long john things (completely impractical on a day like this!) - i read that someone uses cycling shorts under their trousers (with the pad in the **** cheeks) - that might do it? I'm going to try the standard seat again to see which i prefer - i'm not entirely convinced by the gel seat

You could well find that the spring on the gixxer shock is way too hard for the SV.
You could also be a wuss ![]() . |

Eat more pies.
Result - automatic built in Jelly Seat, never get a sore bum again.

Or dont do 2 hours runs...... Two one hours runs are better with a break.
I did two trips of two hours this weekend without the rear end pain thanks to a 10-15 minute break. |

See its all a myth, one that you have had to try. I found that the gel seat made my back ache as well.
