Default washing my bike? flash car wash system.

Has anyone ever used the flash car wash system on their SV?

I've seen it work on a car and the way the de-ionised water dries (more like disappears) is amazing, would this work in the nooks on a motorbike - with it being a spray it would wash out everywhere and then dry out in no time allowing the cover to be put on straight away.

Personally, I wouldn't bother with that kind of thing on the bike.

Get yourself a B&Q jet washer thingy, if you haven't already, and some bike detergent like Muck-Off.

Give the bike a good clean, as you normally would.... then when you've finished, get a large can of WD40, and cover, and I mean really make sure you cover, EVERY metal part of the bike except, and pay attention here, the brakes!

So you want to get it all around the engine, in around the throttle assemblies, around the footpegs, along the swingarm, on the forks and stanchions, behind the lights next to the frame. Then put the little tube attachment on, and make sure the locks are filled - ignition, filler cap, and rear seat.

AutoGlym car shampoo with rust inhibitor, sponge, chamois leather, Autoglym wax. My 2001 curvy looked brilliant when I after took the cover off after two years off the road. NO RUST! (was in garage though)
MOTUL motorwash from Heine Gericke is very good for helping to shift them pesky bugs.

Er... Chamois anyone? There's so little to cover it only takes 3 minutes! Mind you I nearly bought the Flash thing when I saw it, but only because I want more toys to play with

Bought the flash thing on a whim, as you do, and tbh it was pretty much useless Didn't really soap up as you'd expect, took longer to wash than with a sponge & bucket and didn't 'dry' the car *gutted*

Ended up doing it again with a bucket etc, wouldn't put the thing anywhere near my SV (even if I could remember where I threw it in a huff )
