Default K & N air filter

I have a K&N air filter on my 2000 SVS and never had any problems - found a tiny increase in power

I hear that Blueflame exhausts tend to fall apart and have terrible aftersales service - read exhausts thread...

the actual product of blue flame is pretty damn good in my opinion . . .but the after sales service isnt that good. if your lucky and it fits properly . . your onto a winner.

might i suggest a ECU tweak when you have fitted the above items to get the best from them ?

I had a Blueflame can on my 2000 SV. I now have a Yoshi, which looks better and sounds better. The Blueflame literally fell apart. The titanium skin cracked all around the end-cap and the can then pulled free of the end-cap. I still have all the bits. Anyone that wants them, they're yours for the cost of the freight.................

Mine has just started coming away where the titanium sleeve meets the end cap. I've sent it back to Blueflame today they said they'd fix it under the lifetime guarantee.
I've probably put about 13K miles on it. I dont reckon its unreasonable to expect the can to last well beyond 50K after all its not like a car exhaust that is going to suffer from rust and corrosion its purley gass pressure waves and bearing in mind that is the job it's designed for.

you must remember tho that motorcycle exhausts need servicing.

not sure how frequently . . . but they wont have been done under your dealers servicing tho.

How easy is it to de-rivet the can though? Thats the only way i can see of getting inside them unless some are bolted together?

You drill the heads of the rivets off and take it apart then put it back together and rerivet.
