Default A Good Wheelie School!!

Thought this deserved to be a new topic!!!!

I went last saturday to:

South Coast Stunt Wheelie School!!

I cant recommend this guy enough!!

The cost is £175 but if you get it as a birthday present its free.

The day:
Arrive at 9
Bring out the bikes
Overall chat about safety and bike gear
A rundown of the Bike - 600 Bandit
A talk on the principle on Clutch wheelieing
Get on the bike, up and down the tarmac (Blandford Army Camp - The White Helmets stunt ground) at 3,000 revs and pressing the rear brake to 2,000 revs to dip the front forks.
Once you have the hang of this then we go further and use all the tuition to wheelie. This involves ongoing advice to better the wheelie, and to keep it going for longer.

The guy even has his own generator to power the kettle for cups of tea!!!

Well, as I said I cant recommend this enough. It not only teaches you how to do a safe clutch wheelie and not an uncontrolled power wheelie, but it teaches you how to control the clutch. Not only this it is a wicked day out. Also, go with a few mates and I GUARANTEE it will be a good day out. But dont ***** about as like the instructor said its when most accidents happen.

When the day was over, this 22 yr old guy let the instructor have a go on his XJR1300, just for a test ride. The bike ended up wheelieing all down the army tank test ground, off onto the road and wheelieing it the full length of the road. The instructor was great, giving the guy advice about the power of the bike and to get the feel of the bike and not go out powering the bike like a bandit and having an accident.

I asked him about my SV, as the clutch was dodgy, and couldnt do the two finger on the clutch and two on the bar. He adjusted the clutch, and then proceeded to do a well good wheelie down the grounds.

Im not giving this enough credit, it was well better than i even expected.

and you even get a discount when you book more than one person! Oh also check out his bike, he took his out for a play and was ripping it over onto the gravel. (he also personally knows Jimmy Fireblade - bit of competition!)

I went to my brothers the other day, and my brother was like "go on pull a wheelie", I was being cocky and said "its not big and its not clever" and then proceeded to pull a wheelie down the road. He was impressed, so I guess i got my moneys worth.

Also, they may be even makin the countrys first stoppie school, (saw the contraption at Bealieu Motorcycle World) stoppies are more difficult and not safe when learning. So, the contraption teaches you with safety, it looks a bit like a roll cage for a motorbike with two wheels aligning with the back wheel and you stoppy within the cage as its fixed.
